Frances J. Landrus, 69 formerly of Oakland City, passed away  Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Indianapolis.

Born March 10, 1942 in Gibson County, she was the daughter of Floyd E. and Eva M. (Alsman) Meier. 

She retired from Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City in 2009, after more than 20 years of service.

 She is survived by her children, Sherry Jackson of Oakland City, Tina Lloyd of Princeton, Teresa Beaven of Oakland City, Joey Schatz of Rolla, Mo.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Millie Braun of Princeton, Wanda Armstrong of Francisco, Julia Davidson of Hazleton, Marjorie Dyson of Princeton; two brothers, Bob Meier of Boonville, Tom Meier of Newburgh; and her companion, Andy Graniti of Linton.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands, Fred Boyle Jr, Gary Schatz and Jim Landrus; a brother, Richard Meier; and one grandson.

 Graveside services will be  at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Forsythe Cemetery in Oakland City, with the Rev. Bob McDonald officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.  There will be no public visitation.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
