Mary Catherine Pflug, 74, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

She was born April 7, 1937 in Princeton to William E. and Agnes L. (Christian) Woods.

She lived in Princeton most of her life. She formerly worked at Gibson General Hospital Food Service Dept. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed watching soap operas, loved to be involved in her family’s activities, being with her children, grandchildren and playing cards.

 She is survived by seven sons, Tony J. (Renia) Woods and Vernie E. Pflug, of Princeton, Bill (Kim) Pflug, Jim (Roberta) Pflug, and Tony Pflug, of Evansville, John (Sheila) Pflug and Mike (Billie) Pflug, of Princeton; a sister, Norma Jean May, of Princeton; two brothers, Bill (Marianne) Woods, of Oakland City, David (Donna) Woods, of Frankfort, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, Lauran Smith, Paige Woods, Ryan, J.J., Correy, Zac, Timothy, Alexis, Matthew and Madison Pflug, Alyssa Young, Haley Ellis, Bobby Rumley; and four great grandchildren, Chloe, Nathaniel, Erica and Ashlyn.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernie H. Pflug in 2003; son Patrick A. Pflug in 1995; and  brother-in-law, William R. “Bob” May in 2008.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda as the celebrant.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
