Odean B. Barnes, 91, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton

She was born Aug. 10, 1919 in Gibson County and resided in the Princeton area her entire life. 

Odean was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church.

 She is survived by her daughter, Martha Gehl; a grandson, Greg W. Gehl; a great-grandson, Michael Gehl; a great-great granddaughter, Valorie Gehl all of Princeton; a sister, Mildred Gehl of Princeton; two sisters-in-law, Betty Davis and Joann Fitch both of Princeton.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Jessie Davis; her husband, Walter W. Barnes on Dec. 13, 1980 and to whom she had married April 9, 1939; brothers and sister, Adrian Hawkins, Russell Davis, Bob Davis, Ralph Davis, Roy Davis and Velma Smith.

 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Jerry Wibert officiating.  Burial will be at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton

Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
