Everett Barrett, 92, of Winslow, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at home.

Born April 5, 1919 in Pike County, he was the son of Arthur and Edna (Nolan) Barrett.

He was a  WW II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.  He was employed for several years at U.S. Railway in Washington, Ind.

Survivors include daughters,  Kathleen (Felix) Torres of Oakland City, Marlene (Bob) Pugh of Farmersburg; sons, Donald and Kenneth Barrett of Winslow, David (Sue) Barrett of Ireland, Ind.; adopted daughter,Wanda Gassaway of Alabama;   brother, Denver Barrett of Winslow; 13 grandchildren;  23 great-grandchildren; and 11 great great-grandchildren

 He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Wendell and Hubert Barrett; three bothers; a  sister; and wife, Thelma Barrett in 2003.

Funeral services will at 2 p.m. (central) Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Henry Nelson and the Rev. Elaine Young officiating.  Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the chapel.
