Betty R. Greubel, 84, of Haubstadt, passed away peacefully at home in Haubstadt, Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

Born July 15, 1926 in Fort Branch, she was the daughter of Russell Henderson and Rosella (Green) Smith.

Betty was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt.

She is survived by three children, Larry (Janice) Greubel of Haubstadt, Gary (Linda) Greubel of Fallbrook, Calif., Elise (Jim) Koester of Wadesville; six grandchildren, Jill (Scott) Odom, Leslie (Brad) Gebhard, Layne (Tami) Greubel, Eric (Erin) Koester, Michael Greubel, and Kimberly (Adam) Greenlee; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Vincent F. Greubel (whom she married in 1943), who passed away in March of 2003. 

A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt with Fathetr Tony Ernst as the celebrant. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Stodghill Funeral Home on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch and again from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Monday at the church. A rosary will be recited by the church parish at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
