Edward “Joe” Dick, 56, of Evansville, formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1954 in Tacoma, Wash. to Robert L. and Betty L. (Prather) Dick. 

He retired in 2010 after 34 years at the Gibson Generating Station as an engineer. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Princeton, where he was a deacon for several years.  He was also a member of the Princeton Jaycees and the Princeton Wrestling Club where he was president for seven years.

 He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gayla Dick of Evansville; his mother, Betty Dick of Walton, Ind.; three sons, Russell Owen, Jeremy Curtis and Joseph William Dick all of Evansville; grandson, Gatlin Owen Dick; brother, Russell Lee (Anne) Dick of Peru, Ind.; sister, Barbara L. (Scott) Wood of Marion, Ind.; mother-in-law, Julia Eubanks; sister-in-law, Teresa (Jack) Schutter; brothers-in-law, Scott (Kristi) Eubanks, William C. (Karen) Eubanks; also several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Dick.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Jon O’Keefe officiating.  Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
