Evelyn F. Jones, 90, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton

She was born July 30, 1920 in Morning Sun, Iowa and moved to Gibson County 86 years ago. 

She was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Shiloh/Union Bethel Homemakers Club and was active with the senior citizens organization where she did paintings, music and bake sales.  Evelyn was grateful for her church families at both Mt. Olive United Methodist and Bethel Memorial churches.  She was very active in her children and grandchildren’s lives and was beloved by many friends and family.

 Evelyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, Denver Jones; a daughter, Faith (Dave) Clark of Haubstadt and their three children, Matt (Laura) Clark, Jana and Abbie Clark; a son, John (Janet) Jones of Evansville and their five children, Jordan, Lexie, Haley, Corie and Gracia Jones; another son, Tim (Pam) Jones of Hazleton and their five children, Kelly (Daniel) Bailey, Clint (Kayla) Stanton, Emily, Jaime and Kristi Jones; three great grandchildren, Denver and Colt Clark, McKenna Bailey; a brother, Cargill Wilson of Princeton; two sisters, Joan McReynolds of Princeton, Carolyn Harkins of Carrollton, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edmond and Bessie (Lathom) Wilson; and two brothers, David and Thomas Wilson.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Wilson and Pastor Michael Tarner officiating.  Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton

Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
