Marianne Satkamp, 81 of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her home in Princeton.

She was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Princeton to Adam and Alma (Headrick) Boerke. Marianne retired in 1989 from Vectren (formerly Hoosier Gas) after 24 years working as a customer service representative.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, where she taught Sunday School and was a youth leader for many years. She was a life member of the Gibson General Hospital Auxillary.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Michael (Donna) Satkamp of Princeton and Gregg Alan (Tracy) Satkamp of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren, Michelle L. Tindle, Kimberly D. Satkamp, Charles Michael (Hannah) Satkamp Jr, and Claire C. Satkamp; six great grandchildren, Austin M.and Keeley S. Dickerson, Quentin R., Alexis C. and Katelyn O. Tindle and Asvin P. Putman-Schnelle; and a special niece, Susie (Don) McEllhiney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles "Lindy" Satkamp in 2008; and two sisters, Jean Hughes and Patty Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, 800 W. Faith Blvd., Princeton (off Spring Street), with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
