Doris Lucille Christmas, 84, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at Atria Assisted Living.  She was born November 7, 1926, in Pike County, IN.

 She was a devout Christian and member of Newburgh United Methodist Church, Deborah Circle, Pairs and Spares Sunday school class and a 50 year member of Eastern Star in Oakland City.  She was a past member of North Park Baptist Church and the Pike County Library Board and Crippled Children Association.  She attended Indiana University and retired from Potter & Brumfield in Princeton, IN.  She and her husband resided in Pike County for many years prior to moving to Evansville in 1987.

 Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ivan “Jack” L. Christmas; parents, Charles W. and Mary E. (Daugherty) Falls; and brothers, Richard W. and Billie Dee Falls.

 She is survived by her daughters, Becky (Fred) Malotte of Haubstadt and Cassie (Mark) Keneipp of Newburgh; stepdaughter, Rosemary (Larry) Stone of Belleville, IL; grandchildren Benjamin Malotte of Dover, DE, Jacqueline (Jeff) Barnette of Newburgh, Nicholas (Olivia) Keneipp of Bentonville, AR and Kimberly Smith of Belleville, IL; great-grandchildren, Madison and Allison Smith of Belleville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

 Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Dr. Todd Gile, with private burial in Atkinson Chapel Cemetery in Oatsville, IN.  Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
