Gordon L. Henning, 73, of Fort Branch, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born May 30, 1938 in Augusta to Ivan and Lillian (Griffith) Henning.

Gordon was retired from the maintenance department of Alcoa in Warrick County. He was a member of the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge 696. Gordon was a true craftsman and a man of many talents.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy (Winland) Henning; four children, Kim Hagan of Evansville, Lisa Henning of Henderson, Ky., Kristy Keith of Owensville, Tony Henning of Fort Branch; a brother, Tim Henning of Fort Branch; a sister, Melba Russell of Fordsville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brandon and Brian Hagan, Cody Keith, Leah Helsley and Ashby Henning.

A memorial service celebrating Gordon’s life will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at Stodghill Funeral Home on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
