Mary E. (Martin) Rexing, age 71, of rural Evansville, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at her home.

 

Mrs. Rexing was born March 17, 1940 to the late Albert and Viola (Fehrenbacher) Martin.

 

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the St. James Altar Society, St. James Cook Team and the Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed working on the family farm. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and the outdoors, gardening and working in her yard.

 

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, John Rexing; one daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Kohrmann of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Gary (Barbara) Rexing and Don (Sayelle) Rexing, both of rural Evansville and Randy (Audra) Rexing of Canton, GA; three sisters, Shirley (Fran) Happe, Betty (Don) White and Alice (Don) Weis, all of Evansville; five brothers, Fritz Martin of Haubstadt, Kenny (Carol) Martin, Albert (Vicki) Martin, Jr., Robert Martin and William (Lois) Martin, all of Evansville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Kendra, Erica, Carter and Ian Rexing, Peyton, Morgan and Lauren Rexing and Alex and Baylee Rexing.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Betz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the church.
