Lois Marie Simpson, 78 of Ft. Branch, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. 

She was born March 3, 1933.  Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and beloved dog, Bridgett.  She was of the Baptist faith, loved country music and working in her flower garden.  She also operated Simpson Toy Poodles.

 Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nolan Simpson, of Ft. Branch, IN.  She and Nolan were wed on September 29, 1950 and renewed their vows on September 25, 2010

Lois is also survived by two daughters Brenda (Lenny Pease) Starcher, of Springfield, MA, and Debbie Broshears of Ft. Branch; three sons, Steve (Mary) Simpson of Severn, MD, Randy (Linda) Simpson of Ft. Branch, IN, and Mark (Nikki) Simpson of Owensville, IN; 11 grandchildren, Sean & Sherri Starcher, Greg & Terry Broshears, Chris Stanton, Steven, Ricky, Nathan, Brittany & Heaven Simpson, and Brian Tharp; and 20 great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Arva Mauck and Marie (Hess) Mauck Clevenger; son, James Simpson; brother, Jerry Mauck; sister, Wanda Thompson; and twin sister Doris Lee.

 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, at 11 A.M. at the First General Baptist Church of Owensville (corner of Brummitt and Mill Streets) with Rev. Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Mauck Cemetery in Owensville. Friends may visit from 4 until 8 P.M. Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and Tuesday from 10 until service time at the First General Baptist Church of Owensville.
