Geneieve L. “Genny” Ashworth, 73, of Evansville, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. 

She was born Feb. 3, 1938 in Arthur, Indiana to Amel W. and Edna D. (Loveless) Reed.

She was a member of the Fort Branch Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Robert Owen Ashworth of Evansville; a son, Jerry Eugene Ashworth of Utah; two sisters, Mary E, Wilkerson and Beverly D. Warren both of Fort Branch; brother, Richard L. Reed, of Fort Branch; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Reed; two sisters, Patricia Ann and Carol JoAnn Reed.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at Fort Branch Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Richard Comer officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch and again from 9 a.m. until the service hour on Friday at the church.
