Carol L. “KrobarKohlmeier, 80, of Mackeyy, passed away Oct.18, 2011 at home.

 

He was born June 17, 1931 in Mackey to Eli and Amelia (Maikranz) Kohlmeier.

 

He was retired from Old Ben Coal Co. No. 1 and farming. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA). He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, civil service with the Air Force active reservist, member of American Legion Post 256, Lynnville Masonic Lodge 369 and Order of Eastern Star Lynnville Chapter 542. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle and target shooting.  Carol was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Burkhart) Kohlmeier; daughter, Kimberly Parish of Mackey; sons, Chris (Kim) Kohlmeier of Oakland City, Steven (Vanessa) Kohlmeier of Mackey; grandchildren, Brandon and Delaney Kohlmeier of Oakland City, Brittaney Kohlmeier and fiancé,  Cal Jones of Princeton, Samantha (Levi) Jordon of  Owensville, Heath and Haley Kohlmeier of Mackey, Quinten Parish of Mackey; and great granddaughter, Birkleigh Collins of Oakland City.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City with  the Rev. Darin D. Nossett officiating. Burial will be in Townsley Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the chapel.  Masonic memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
