John Franklin Krieg Jr., 81, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at Good Samaritan Nursing Facility in Oakland City.

 

Mr Krieg was born Aug. 20, 1930, to John Franklin and Dorothy (Dillon) Krieg, in Pike County.

 

He was a self employed truck driver for many years.

 

He is survived by his companion, Jaqueline Moody of Vincennes; sons, Terry (Kathy) Krieg of Jasonville, Dale (Barbara) Krieg of Princeton, Jay Krieg of Princeton, Greg (Shirley) Krieg of Francisco; daughter, Tammy (Denny) Tooley of Francisco; stepson, Frankie Crock; stepdaughters, Theresa (Joseph) Bouchie and Virginia (Joseph) Koenig, all of Vincennes.

 

Other survivors include brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Krieg of Francisco and Michael (Jean) Krieg of Petersburg; sisters, Martha (Roy) White of Francisco and Alice Keeton of Oakland City; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grand children.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Darwin Krieg, and brother, Charles.

 

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670 with Rev. Bob McDonald officiating.

 

Internment will take place in Miller Cemetery in Oatsville. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
