Virginia M. Alfeld, 91, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Carmi, Ill.

She resided in Haubstadt the past 35 years. She was born February 17, 1920 in Washington, to Enoch and Jessie (Allen) Collins. They preceded her in death.

Virginia retired as a registered nurse. After retirement, she was a sales consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics for many years.

She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Richard J. Alfeld, in 1989.

Virginia is survived by one daughter, Jessica Mezo of Darmstadt and one son, Richard W. Alfeld of Evansville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also, her caretakers; Jean Ann and Terry Hutchinson of Norris City, Ill.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt with Pastor Spence Downs officiating.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
