Garry L. Ault, 70, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, at his residence.

 

He was born July 30, 1941 in Jackson County, the son of Homer Leland and Martha Grace (Reynolds) Ault.

 

He retired in 2001 after 35 1/2 years with the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources as a conservation officer, and previously served as a deputy sheriff with the Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office. He graduated from Tampico High School.  He also work numerous part-time jobs including 32 years with Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Mitchell, and a longtime member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington. He was big fan of NASCAR and always enjoyed helping others.

 

Garry is survived by his loving wife, Judith (Crago) Ault; three sons, Kevin (Janet) Ault of Nashville, David (Madonna) Ault of Homassa, Fla. and Greg (Janet) Ault of Princeton; one sister, Janie Densford of Scottsburg; his grandchildren, Wesley Ault, Meghan Ault, Corie Sutton, Kristin Galloway, Thomas Ault, Emma Ault, Noah Followell, Honnah Followell, Kane Crabtree and Cole Crabtree.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Garry Douglas Ault, his step-father, Frank "Pop" Densford, one nephew, Kelly Densford and one brother-in-law, Edward Densford.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd. 37 in Bloomington. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
