Relda Mae Harper, age 78, a dearly loved child of God, entered heaven on Dec. 8, 2011 in  Elkart.

 

She was born May 9, 1933 to Alsie R. Kinder and Nora E. (Sutton) Kinder, in Pike County

 

On Sept.13, 1952 she married Paul O. Harper in Evansville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2.

 

She bravely lived her life with Alzheimers disease since 1998, and had many good years of life following the diagnosis.  She loved her family, was kind to all she met, always tried to help out when there was a need, and she loved the Lord Jesus Christ in whom her hope of life eternal dwelt.

 

She will be greatly missed by her six children:  Deborah D. Holland  (Leland) of Elkhart; Wanda L. Miedema (Dave) of Elkhart; Edward R. Harper (Angie) of Duquesne, IL; Diana L. Brock (Kevin) of Glezen; Donna J. Sankey (Wayne) of  Clemmons, N.C.; and Ronald L. Harper (Tammy) of Evansville.  Also surviving are one sister, Lavon Pancake of Petersburg; and four brothers:  John (Tess) Kinder of Evansville, Earl  (Faye) Kinder of Littles, Don (Betty) Kinder of Bedford,  Mass., and Oran Kinder of Sturgis, Mich.  She was blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City with burial in Blackfoot Cemetery near  Coe.

 

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
