Lois M. Ingrum, 89, of Lake Mary, Fla., died Dec. 16, 2011 of natural causes.

 

She was born Jan. 12, 1922 in Mackey, to Guy and Mary Gwaltney.

 

She lived in Mackey with her husband, Ray, until their retirement to Sarasota, Fla., in 1969. While residing in Mackey, Lois worked at Hansen's Manufacturing in Princeton and was very active in the Mackey Church of the Nazarene. While in Sarasota, Lois was an accomplished tailor/seamstress, and regularly attended Sarasota Church of the Nazarene. She moved to Lake Mary, Fla., in 2005 to be near her daughters.  She was always extremely devoted to her family.

 

Her beloved husband, Ray, passed away on Sept. 19, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ruby Gwaltney of Mackey, Fern Paulson of Evansville, Elza Gwaltney of Gages Lake, Ill., and Millard Gwaltney, of Elberfeld.

 

She is survived by her two brothers, Lloyd Gwaltney of Evansville, and Russell Gwaltney of Gages Lake; her two daughters, Lois Rawson of Maitland, Fla.,and Cheryl Henry of Lake Mary; five grandchildren, Kevin and Kristen Schneider, Tiffany (Bogle) Thomas, Breanna Henry and Ryan Rawson, as well as a great-grandson, Logan Ray Schneider.

 

A viewing will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, 323 N. Main Street, Oakland City, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Mackey Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Townsley Cemetery, east of Mackey.
