Nellie Beatrice McCormick, 88, of Mulberry, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.

Born in Princeton Feb. 1, 1923, she was the daughter of Harrison Posey and Zelia (Shoultz) Brittingham, now deceased.

She lived in Tippecanoe County for 57 years and had lived in Mulberry the past seven years.

She was married on May 14, 1945, in Clifton, N.J., to Glenn Fowler McCormick. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are three children, Richard (Debra) McCormick, retired and traveling; Susan (Larry) Gresh of Greenfield and David (Barb) McCormick of Holland, Mich.; four grandchildren, Matthew McCormick, Susan Rose McCormick, Evan Gresh, Nathan Gresh; and great granddaughter Gracie McCormick; and a brother, Robert Dale Brittingham of Madison.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irma Lucille Reed and Ethel Nadine Hedge.

Burial will follow at a later date at United Methodist Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive.
