Barbara E. Simmons, 65, of Princeton, died at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at her home.

She was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Oakland City, daughter of Charles and Cleda (Richardson) Folsom. She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, William Simmons; a sister, Rita Meadows; and a grandchild.

Surviving are her son, Jerry Sullivan of Princeton; daughters Minnie (Billy) Murphree of Princeton, Tona Evans of Jasonville and Kristin Miller of Owensville; brothers Charles Folsom of Somerville, Billy (Robin) Folsom of Francisco and Richard (Cathy) Folsom of Princeton; sisters, Peggy Henico of Linton, Mary Land-Folsom of Princeton, MaShella S. Woods of Princeton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, with burial following at Somerville Cemetery. Rev. Gary Arnold will officiate.

Visitation is at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until service hour Wednesday.
