Ruby M. DeLong Garrison, 92, formerly of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at the Bradley Royale Nursing Home in Bradley, Ill.

She was born in Princeton, Dec. 4, 1919 to Daniel and Minnie Blair.

She formerly worked for Mortell Industries in Kankakee, Ill. She had lived in northern Illinois and Indiana for the past 50 years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Paul DeLong of St. Ann, Ill.; and Gary S. Garrison of Bourbonnais, Ill.; a daughter, Rachel Shelton of Bourbonnais; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Floyd W. DeLong, second husband John Garrison, three sons, Floyd August DeLong, James Edmond DeLong and George DeLong, two daughters, Patricia Payne and Bonnie Jordan and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 17, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Fort Branch.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
