George A. Hadley, 87, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at The Waters of Princeton.

 

He was born March 24, 1924 in Oakland City.

 

He retired after 30 years as a body mechanic at Byrne Motors in Princeton.

 

George is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Townsend) Hadley, to whom he had been married since 1947; two sons, Jeff Hadley of Princeton and Gary Hadley of Evansville; a sister, Hazel Maglinger of Evansville and a half-brother, Ed Schafer of Fort Branch.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Rick and Steve Hadley; three brothers, Charles, Hobert and Bob Hadley and three sisters, Pansy Kerner, Annabelle Sanders and Mary Booker.

 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the graveside at Fairview Cemetery east of Princeton, with burial to follow.

 

There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services.
