Rose Ella Henry, 84 of Evansville formerly of Princeton passed away Tuesday Jan. 10, 2012 at the Heritage Center in Evansville.

 

She was born in Princeton May 2, 1927 to James and Opal Hazel (Beloat) Burton.

 

Rose had been a waitress last working at the Knotty Pine Restaurant in Evansville. She had lived in Evansville the past 50 years moving there from Princeton. She was a member of the Mill Road Baptist Church in Evansville and previously the First Baptist Church in Princeton

She is survived by 2 sons, Gary Wayne (Judith Ann) Henry of Newburgh and David Stanley (Marguerite) Henry of Evansville; 1 sister, Carol Jean Harper of KY and a brother, Russell Burton of Princeton; 4 grandchildren, Jody Ann Bethel, Lauren Christine Henry, Cary Wayne Henry, and Brandon Christopher Henry; 2 great grandchildren, Cade and Colby “C.J.” Henry. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rolla E. Henry in 2001, 2 half brothers, George “Dub” Mitchell and John Mitchell. 

Funeral Services will be held at the graveside in
Columbia “White” Church Cemetery at 11a.m. Saturday Jan. 14, 2012 with Rev. Billy Kellough officiating. Burial will follow the services.

 

There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements. 

The family would like to thank all the nurses, and assistants at the Heritage Center Reflections Unit and the Heritage Hospice Care for all the care that was given. “A special thank you to Pastor Tom for all his comforting words and prayers for us and with us during this special time of Celebration of Rose’s life.”
