Flora Jean Madison Jackson age 82, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 in Princeton, IN.

 

She was born on June 21, 1931 in Patoka, IN to William McKinley and Ocia Ellen (Lyles) Madison whom precede. Her career consisted of being a press operator at Midstates Rubber, cleaning private homes, being a CNA with Forestdale Nursing facility, and in 1980 becoming a full time homemaker.

 

On May 5, 1951, in Princeton, IN, she was married to George Thomas Jackson Sr. who preceded in 2006. She was a member of the Divine Guidance Church of God in Christ in Princeton, IN. She loved her family and her church and devoted herself to them both.

She is survived by sons, Pastor George (Lisa) Jackson of Princeton, IN and Timothy (Pamela) Jackson of Evansville, IN., daughters, Florena Perkins, Myra Gail Jackson and Ocia Davis all of Princeton, IN. Other survivors include brothers, Norman Madison of Princeton, IN, Albert Madison of Evansville, IN, Lionel (Donna) Madison of Princeton, IN and sisters, Deltha Roberts of Princeton, IN, Arimentia (Roy) Brown of Evansville, IN, Ernestine (Emmett) Chavis of Lyle Station, IN, and Audrey Madison of Princeton, IN, She also survived by 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is close family friend, Don Mains of Mt. Carmel, IL

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, George, brothers, McKinley Madison & Jasper Madison. Sisters May Madison, Marjorie Cook and Nancy Roberts.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at The Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ located at 202 E. Pinkney St., Princeton, IN. with Pastor George Jackson officiating. Internment will take place at Sand Hill Cemetery in Lyle Station, IN

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670
