Virginia Lee Goldman Mason, of Hutsonville, Ill., entered the Kingdom of God at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Crawford Convalescent Center, Robinson, Ill.

 

She was born July 11, 1920 in English, the daughter of Franklin Goldman and Susie Ethel Goldman.

 

She married Arvis J. Mason April 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Marshall Mason and Arvis J. Mason, Jr.; two brothers William Goldman and Harry Goldman; a sister Lillian Bennett.

 

She is survived by her two daughters and son-in law, Rena Smith and Gina and Tony Brian, all of Hutsonville; son, Benny Mason of Hutsonville; grandchildren, Timothy P. Sollman of Reelsville, Derek Smith of Princeton, Nicholas Smith of Estes Park, Colo., Michael Smith of Robinson, Ill.,Charles Smith and Veronica Smith of Hutsonville, Goldie Smith of Princeton, Peter Smith, Holly Brian, Noah Brian and Gage Brian of Hutsonville, Lafe Mason of Vincennes, Jack Brian and Sam Brian of Hutsonville; 16 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Debra Mason of Vincennes; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hutsonville; the Hutsonville Royal Neighbors; Hutsonville Woman's Club and the Princeton VFW Auxiliary.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Rev. David Hyde officiating. Burial will be in the Decker Cemetery in Patoka at 3 p.m., following the service.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday.
