Phyllis N. Murray, age 81, wife of Donald M. Murray, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2012.

Born in Owensville Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Ivan Walter and Maereta Gwen Simpson Newton.

Mrs. Murray was a home maker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Mrs. Murray is survived by two sons, Stephen Murray and wife Laurie and Brent Murray and wife Irma; two brothers, Danny Newton and Joe Newton; a sister, Carmen Newton; five grandchildren, Katie, Erin, Ashley, Stephen, and Adam; and a great grandchild, Bennett.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Stan Rupe with burial in MJ "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home-Jones Chapel, Simpsonville.
