John Arnold Runnels, 51, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

 

John was born Jan. 11, 1960 in Lincoln, Neb. and had resided in Princeton for the past 3 ½ years, coming from Franklin, Kentucky. He was a truck driver for K C Transportation. 

John is survived by his wife, Judy A. (Higgins) Runnels of Princeton; mother, Bettie Eloise Runnels of Nashville, Ark.; mother-in-law, Maxine Higgins of Princeton; five children, Amber Presley of Nashville, Tenn., Jade Whisenhunt of Princeton, Jeremy Runnels of Texarkana, Ark., Andrew Stillwell and Abbygayle Stillwell both of Princeton; four grandchildren, Ashlinne Martin, Drew Whisenhunt, Chase Whisenhunt and Cole Whisenhunt; five siblings, Renee Harrison of Texarkana, Ark., Roger Runnels of Bodka, Ark., Kevin Runnels of Texarkana, Ark., Michael Runnels of Kansas City, Missouri and Sheila Diane Venable of Nashville, Ark.; also several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John Delbert Runnels. 

Funeral services will be at
1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor George Prinzing officiating. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
