Lois Jean “Jeannie” (York) Quinn, 55, of Sturgis and formerly of Princeton, Ind. passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

 

She was born Sept. 10, 1956 in Princeton.

 

She was a hostess at Denny’s Restaurant in Henderson, Ky.

 

Jeannie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul D. Merrill II and Heather of New Harmony; a daughter and son-in-law, Misty McGlothin and Billy of Sturgis; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Paula (Don) Ritchie of Princeton, Bill (Gayle) York of Hazleton, Mark (Gina) York of Shelbyville, Tenn., Sandy (Allen) Boles of Panama City, Fla., Tony (Cheryl) York of Princeton and Tina (Steve) Sharp of Henderson; four aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Mary Louise (Luttrell) York and a niece “Booper”.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Larry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery north of Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
