Florence E. Bump, 90, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Bridgepointe Health Campus.

Florence was born in Winslow, Indiana on May 16, 1921, the daughter of Berna and Velma (Hume) Thompson.

She married Charles Bump on May 27, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1992.

Florence was a homemaker and was a member of a non-denominational church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and loved roses. 

Survivors include her son, Larry Bump of Vincennes; granddaughters, Brenda Deckard and her husband, Tim of Bedford, IN; Becky Booe and her husband, Scott of Bargersville, IN; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlin and Abby Booe; and one brother, Bernard Thompson, of Owensville, IN.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Peggy Hamill, one sister, Pauline Romerhausen and one brother, George Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Mark Peters and Gloria Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN. Friends may visit with Florence’s family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
