Zetta Mae Capehart, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

 

She was born March 15, 1927 in Gibson County and resided here all of her lifetime.

 

She was a former telephone operator, worked at the former Burr’s Donut Shop and also for DeBord’s Greenhouse, all in Princeton. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

 

She is survived by her two sons, Danny (Vanada) Capehart and Loyd (Rhonda) Capehart all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Randy (Sarah) Capehart, John (Andrea) Capehart and Troy and Matthew Capehart; four great granddaughters, Jenna, Marissa, Carly and Madison; one brother, Ernest Smith of Indianapolis.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar M. and Bessie W. (Mounts) Smith; a son, Randall Capehart, Jr. in 1966; two brothers, Russell and Ralph Smith and her husband, Randall “Bud” Capehart in 2001.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Austin Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton

 

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
