James Lee McCrary, 79, of Winslow, entered rest Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

 

He was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Pike County to Ora and Ruth “Myers” McCrary.

 

James was retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 37 years of service.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clifford A. McCrary; brothers John and Barney McCrary and  half- brother Ted Myers.

 

He is survived his wife, Myrtle (Kate) McCrary of Winslow; daughter: Linda Kay (Larry) Myer of Winslow;  sons  Anthony D. McCrary of Jasper, David E. (Theresa) McCrary of Oakland City,  Raymond L. (Denise) McCrary of Payson, Ariz.; a sister, Sue (Dewayne) Bailey of Lynnville; brother: Phil (Linda) McCrary of Winslow; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and several niecces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be Saturday March 10, at 10 am, at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Blackfoot Cemetery near Coe. Rev. Terry Beadles officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until services on Saturday.
