Nellou Garrett Risinger, 89, of Patoka, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

 

She was born in Patoka Aug. 15, 1922 to Emery and Delania (Danks) Garrett. 

 

She lived in Patoka most of her life. She retired from the engineering department of Potter and Brumfield, where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Princeton and had been a member of Gibson General Hospital Auxiliary.  She enjoyed playing bridge, painting and making stained glass.

 

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Teri Risinger of Carmi Ill.; a brother, Tom Garrett of Owensboro, Ky.; one grandson and his wife, Ryan and Carol Risinger of Haubstadt and their two sons, Cameron and Preston; a granddaughter and her husband, Rhonda and Clifton Thompson, Henderson, Ky.; and their son and daughter, Garrett and Delaney; two nephews, Larry Garrett of Boonville and Michael Garrett of Owensboro, one niece and her husband, Jim and Carol Wright of Lynnville; several grand nieces and nephews and several great grand nieces and nephews.

 

Her parents preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday March 14, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Michael Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Maumee Cemetery in Johnson.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
