Robert W. Arnold, 89, of Oakland City, entered rest Thursday, April 19, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

 

He was born Sept. 23, 1922 in Danville, Ill., to William E. and Nora K. (Bogue) Arnold.

 

He was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Arnold, who was killed in WWII; a son, Michael Steve Arnold, in 1965; and wife, Lucille Arnold, on April 8, 2011.

 

Bob was member of Oakland City F&AM Masonic Lodge467 and Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville; Oakland City American Legion Post 256 and an Army WWII veteran. He was retired from A & H Truck Lines after many years of service.

 

Surviving are a daughter,  Judi Kidwell of Lafayette; grandchildren Jed (Julie) Kidwell, Jay Kidwell and Julie (Brad) Schuck; great grandchildren Wesley and Curtis Kidwell; sisters, Kate Hoskins of Oakland City,  Barbara Davis of Boonville; several nieces and nephews 

 

Memorial services will be 5:30  p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery,  Dr. Bob Doane officiating.

 

Visitation will be from  2:30 p.m. until services.
