Monzell Brown, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus.

 

She was born in Gibson County, Aug. 3, 1926, the daughter of Aaron and Mabel Ida Mae Bell (Baker) Riggs.

 

She was a homemaker, member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church and the Margaret Brosend Missionary Society. She very much enjoyed being part of the quilters club and going out with her many friends.

 

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Arval C. Brown; son and daughter-in-law, David and Randa Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Rella Mae and Gary Bush; grandchildren, Julie (James) Holzmeyer, Chad (Danille) Brown, Aimee (Steve) Day, Jamie (Matt) Alexander, Adam (Michelle) Bush, DeWayne Bush, Brittan (Abby) Bush and Tim Bush; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Collin Holzmeyer, Aaron, Samantha Brown, Haley Day, Mattie Alexander, Chelsea, Blake, Gracie, Lilly and Allison Bush, Riley, Carson, Anna Bush and MaKenzie Bush; sisters, Esther Armstrong, Honar Mae Tate, Sharon (Max) Fauquher, Patricia (Mike) Ready; brother-in-law, John (Kathy) Brown; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday April 7, at Bethlehem General Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Austin and Rev. John Motz officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Columbia White Church Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville.
