Dixie J. Loveless, 88, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.  

 

She was born April 11, 1924 in Pike County to John and Oma Grace (Hill) Robling.  She was the oldest of five children. 

 

Her husband, Warner Loveless, preceded her in death in 2008. She is also preceded in death by four brothers.

 

She is survived by a nephew, Jon Robling, nieces Lisa Miller, Debbie Coleman and Trisia Lamar, special friends and relatives, Gerald and June Loveless and Garrett “Mick” Shafer.

 

She lived in lower Logan Twp. in Pike County for many years.  She wrote articles for WRAY Radio, the Dispatch and later The Petersburg Press.  

She and her husband attended Rumbletown Free Methodist Church, where she played piano. She and her husband also sang at other churches. 

 

Graveside services are at  2 p.m. Monday at Loveless Cemetery in Pike County with Rev. Michael Elliott officiating. 

 

There will be no visitation. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City is handling the arrangements.
