Don McConnell 89, of Princeton passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville.

He was born on January 6, 1923 to W.E. & Nora (Hussey) McConnell, both deceased. He had lived in the Fairview Community all of his life, where he was a farmer. 

He is survived by his daughter Connie Amis of Princeton; 2 grandchildren Nora Mae (Tommy) Willis and Charles (Kristi) Scott; 5 great-grandchildren Alexa & Izabella Willis, Devon Scott, Branson & Dakota Clark; and 1 great-great-grandchild Konner Abshire. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sally McConnell in August 2005; 2 children Charles McConnell and Martha McConnell; 3 brothers James, Dale, and Burt McConnell; 5 sisters Nigel Wilhite, Maybelle Maxam, Hazel Mowry, Dottya Young, and Grace McConnell. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Jerry Wibert and Pastor Jonathan Scott. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
