Harold M. Beasley, 96, of Oakland City, Ind., passed away on Monday May 14, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

 

He was born June 11, 1915, in Francisco, IN, to Grant and Nellie (Mans) Beasley, who preceded him in death.

 

He was a machinist and farmer, formerly working for Woods Machine Shop as well as Old Ben Coal Company.

 

On October 23, 1940, in Henderson, Ky., he was married to Martha Alene Morten, who preceded him in death March 4, 1995.

 

He was a lifelong area resident and formerly attended Fairview Church.

 

He is survived by daughter, Sara Sue 'Susie' (Jerry) Wise of Princeton; grandchildren, Mike 'Denny' (Barbara) Wise of Princeton, and Terri (Chuck Hollingsworth of Princeton.

 

Survivors also include great-grandchildren, Kara, Christopher and Kirk Wise; and Stephen, Wesley and Eddie Hollingsworth; and great-great-grandchildren, Nick, Alex and Scotty 'Nate' Kelly; Johnathon & Danielle Popplewell. He is also survived by his loving cat, Jenny.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Ona Estelle Tyree and half sister, Phyllis Sue Beard.

 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, with Pastor Kyle Powell officiating at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN.

 

Internment will take place in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
