Alvina C. (Market) Meyer, 97, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

 

Born in Gibson County, she was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Haubstadt and was living with her daughter in Fort Wayne the past seven years.  She was a member of Daughters of Isabella; Rosary Society of St. Vincents; Sts. Peter & St. Paul Rosary Society Haubstadt.  She loved to quilt and sew; and was a true homemaker for her family.

 

She is survived by her sons, George A. Meyer of Fort Wayne, and Philip H. Meyer of Princeton; daughters, Sara (Greg) Wissler of Buda, Texas, and Helen E. (Bob) Trahin of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Petitjean of Evansville.  

 

Alvina was preceded in death by parents, Philip and Helen Market; and husband, Arthur F. Meyer. 

 

A Mass of Christian burial is 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 211 N. Vine Street, Haubstadt, with calling one hour prior, Father Anthony Ernst officiating.

 

Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. and a Rosary service 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN.   Burial in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Fort Branch.
