Jeffrey Scott Brown 51, of Oakland City went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. 

Jeff worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He was also a Volunteer Fireman for both the
Oakland City and Mt. Carmel Fire Departments. He was an avid Nascar fan and also enjoyed golf, bowling, and spending time with his family. 

Jeff was born in
Harlingen Texas on December 5, 1960, to Donald and Agnes (Eyer) Brown Sr. He is preceded in death by his father Donald Brown Sr., grandparents, aunts and uncles. 

He will be greatly missed by his family which includes wife Jennifer (Cochrane) Brown of Oakland City, IN; son Cameron Bryce Brown of Los Angeles, CA, stepson John Everett Perry of Palm Springs, CA; his children's mother Lynda Brown of Mt. Carmel, IL; mother and step-father Agnes Brown and Don Williams of Evansville, IN; sister Lori (Darwin) Waite of San Tan Valley, AZ; brothers David (Stephanie) Brown of Francisco, IN, Donnie (Jean) Brown of Evansville, IN; step-brother Jace Williams of Chandler, AZ; step-sister Kristine (Jim) Gregory of Chandler, AZ; uncle Ted Morris of Oakland City, IN; aunts Patty Kersey of Nashville, TN, Karen Brown of Evansville, IN; several nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Jeffy" very much. His love for life and family will always be a reminder of his loving nature. 

Visitation will be held on
Friday, June 15, 2012, from 4-7 PM at Corn-Colvin funeral home in Oakland City. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Jerry Wibert. Due to Jeff having no life insurance benefits, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to any German American Bank branch location in Jeff's name or envelopes will be available at the funeral home for donations.

Evansville, IN, TIPS Hospice in Mt. Carmel, IL, and niece / caregiver, Nicki Bruce.
