Betty L. Gordon, 83, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

 

She was born October 3, 1928 in Princeton, the daughter of Edward and Madeline (May) Tucker.

 

She was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton and was a teacher in the Missionettes Ministry and serving in the Nursery at the church. 

Betty is survived by 3 daughters, Tonja (Lyles)-Khan, Sheena and Trina Gordon all of
Princeton; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, George H. “Jack” Gordon on September 15, 2007; a son, Marlon Gordon; 4 brothers, Edward Jr., John Henry, Tommy and Wesley Tucker; 2 sisters, Nancy Walden and Virginia Harris. 

Funeral services will be held at
1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Mike Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery, Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
