Florence E. Morris, 83 passed away, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville

 

She was born  March 17, 1929 in Haubstadt to the late John W. and Eugenia T. (Reibel) Dewig

 

Florence resided most of her life in Haubstadt.  She retired after 25 years as an Avon representative.  

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, The Altar Society, Sts. Peter and Paul Labor of Love Quilters and The Ladies Card Club. 
Florence loved spending time with her family. She always enjoyed the annual “surprise” birthday party on St. Patrick’s Day and celebrating throughout the month of March wearing green. She was also known throughout the community as Aunt Florence and The Avon Lady.  

Also preceding her in death were her husband Albert Morris in June 2011, a brother William Dewig in 2003 and a nephew Darell Dewig in 1985.    

Florence is survived by two daughters; Cynthia (Chuck) Hutchison of Burnesville, NC and Marleen Morris of Richmond, VA; two sons, Bryan (Corine) Morris of Dallas, TX and Mark Morris of San Francisco, CA;  2 grandchildren, Taylor Hutchison and David Round; 1 great-grandchild, Sydney Albert Round; one brother, Thomas (Janet) Dewig of Haubstadt.  9 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews and 16 great-great nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be
10:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as celebrant.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Sunday, June 17, 2012 with a Rosary service at 6:30 PM at Wade Funeral Home, 119 S. Vine St., Haubstadt.  Friends may also call from 9 AM until Mass time Monday at the church.
