Mary A. Thompson, 90, passed
away on June 30, 2012.
Mary was born August 9, 1921 in rural Owensville to the late Jesse and Ethel
After graduating from FortBranchHigh
1939 as Salutatorian, she worked in the offices of Fort Branch Building &
Loan and Emge Packing Co. In 1941 she married R.
Warren Thompson and helped him run a poultry and hog farm until they retired
from farming in 1984. She worked at Colorcraft,
retiring after 13 years. Mary was a long time member of New Liberty Christian
Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as moderator, secretary and
