William R. “Bill” White, 77, of Princeton passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton

 

He was born July 30, 1934 in Princeton, to Carl and Dorothy Mary (Devin) White.  

 

He retired after 20 years as a firefighter from the Princeton Fire Department, serving as the fire chief for the last four years. He was a member of the Prince Lodge 231, Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine, Sons of Legions, N.R.A., and Fish and Wildlife Conservation Club.

 

He is survived by his wife, Theresa White of Princeton; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mary Ann White of Princeton; daughter, Tamara Braun; granddaughter and husband, Emily and Brock Sievers; great granddaughter, Addison Sievers; cousins; and his dogs, Mattie, Snuggles and Riley.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Burial will follow.

 

Friends may meet in the parking lot of the Colvin Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
