Mary Berry “Donna Bell,” 81, began her walk around Heaven at 3:35 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, having passed away at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

 

Mary was born Sept. 16, 1930 in Princeton to Charles and Mary Lee (Dixon) Jones.

 

She graduated from Lincoln High School in Princeton in 1949. She lived in Princeton most of her life, retiring from Hansen Manufacturing in 1988. 

She previously worked for Meisners Brush Factory and Whirlpool. She was a member of St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board, Missionary Board and sang in the choir.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years Frederick Berry Sr. in 1996, brothers James McLain, Andrew, Charles, and Austin Jones, sisters Marthy, Mable, Emma and Lucille, granddaughter India and great grandson Hassani.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Fredia Walker and Lori Berry of Princeton; Relondia Berry Huspon (James) of Indianapolis; three sons, Frederick Berry Jr. (Kenna), and Kelvin Berry (Samantha) of Princeton; Sylvester Berry of Indianapolis; 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister Mary Iola Jessup of Indianapolis; and brothers Marvin, Archie and Arthur Jones all of Indianapolis.

 

Funeral services will be at  1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church, 622 E. Emerson St., Princeton, with Rev. Rodney Coffer officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home and from 12 p.m. until service time.
