Elizabeth “Beth” Elliott, 95, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Newburgh Healthcare in Newburgh.

 

She was born October 18, 1916 in Gibson County, to Purley and Opal (Clem) Hunt. 

 

She was a graduate of Mt. Olympus High School.  She worked at J. C. Penney in Princeton until moving to Evansville.  She loved working in the garden, working crossword puzzles, doing counted cross-stitching and enjoyed watching basketball games.

 

Beth is survived by her daughter, Sarah Lesa Perkins and husband Michael D. of Chandler; a granddaughter, Dana Wilson and husband Mike; three great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Megan and Braden Wilson all of Petersburg; one sister, Mary Phillips of Oakland City; two brothers, Donald E. Hunt of Princeton and Jack M. Hunt of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Warren Elliott in 1995; two sisters, Edith Cusick and Dorothy Utley and three brothers, Arthur, Roscoe and Clarence Hunt.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Chaplain Randall Bechtel officiating. 

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton.
