Mary L. Field, 93, Fort Branch, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at River Oaks Assisted Living in Princeton.

She was born to Ed and Cecelia (Heck) Spear Oct. 9, 1918 in Evansville.

She retired as a cook from Lakeview Truck Stop in Haubstadt. Mary was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch. A member of Haubstadt American Legion Post 194 Women’s Auxiliary and Haubstadt Daughters of Isabella.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Sylvia Fischer, in December 2011, and a brother, Robert Spear.

Mary is survived by daughters, Sylvia (Robert) Sensmeier of Fort Branch, and Elaine (William) Roth of Hancock, Vermont, a sister, Irene Wolfe of Haubstadt, eight grand-children, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst, and Father Brian Emmick co-celebrants. 

Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home located on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch. Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
