Thelma Faye (Neufelder) Oing, 82, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. 

 

She was born to the late Leo and Hulda L. (Kuester) Hasselbrinck on Nov. 13, 1929 in Princeton, IN.

    

Faye was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN where she was the church organist for 20 plus years.  She was also a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post # 2714 Women’s Aux., and Psi Iota Xi Sorority.  She formerly owned Fayes Beauty Shop, the Smart Shop, Faye’s Little Giant Grocery Store, and B & P Lumber Co...  She served on the Fort Branch Town Board for 8 years, and also had worked for S.W.I.R.C.A...

    

Besides her Parents, she is also preceded in death by her 1st husband William L. Neufelder, who passed away on July 27, 1987, and her brother Leland Hasselbrinck.

    

She is survived by her 2nd husband, Cletus Oing of Fort Branch, IN, 7 children Janet (Jerry) Hollis of Elkton, Maryland, Pam Jones of Greenwood, IN, Jodie (Kurt) Paridaen of Fort Branch, IN, Jon (Donna)  Neufelder of Poseyville, IN, Thomas Neufelder of Fort Branch, IN, Lisa Brewer of Fort Branch, IN, and Kimberley (Scott) Scheller of Fort Branch, IN, 1 brother, Paul Hasselbrinck of Evansville, IN, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

    

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, Father Tony Ernst and Father Brian Emmick will be co-celebrants.  Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum. 

 

Visitation will be on Friday July 6, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at The Stodghill Funeral Home Located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, and again from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home by the church parish.
