Mary L. (Moore) Schelosky, 96, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Heritage Center.

 

She was born in Evansville May 26, 1916.

 

Mary attended Baker Elementary School and  graduated from Central High School in 1934. After graduating from Lockyear Business College, she was employed in the accounting department for Chrysler Corporation as an executive secretary.

 

After marrying her husband, Robert, on Feb. 28, 1941, she became a homemaker.

 

She was a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority and lifelong member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ.  Mary enjoyed world traveling and was an avid card player with bridge being her favorite.  She enjoyed all types of crafts.  Some of her favorites were counted cross stitch, needlepoint, and crochet.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert C. Schelosky; parents, George and Elma Moore.

 

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sue A. Schelosky of Evansville; and nieces, Martha Newell of Waltonville, Ill. and Jo Williams of Mt. Vernon, Ill.

 

Services will be held at 10  a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Lynn Martin, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery

 

Friends may visit Friday from 2-7 p.m.  at the funeral home and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

 

Mary’s daughter, Sue, would like to thank all of those who contributed to her mother’s care during her decline and passing. She would also like to thank the staff of Heritage Hospice.

 

She was a great wife and loving mother and will be best remembered for her beautiful smile and outgoing nature.
