Brent K. Bender, 56, of Patoka, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.

 

Brent was born on February 6, 1956.

 

He was an artist and model railroading was his favorite hobby. He graduated from PCHS in 1974 and was a University of Southern Indiana graduate and also attended Vincennes University. He had a degree in sociology. He had worked as a security guard for Semo Security at the Gibson Power Plant. 

Brent was a very special man, and very intelligent. He loved his wife Tina, who cared for him very deeply and had been his caregiver for sometime. He had a strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ the Savior and had attended the Princeton Christian Church. 

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tina Marie (Sampson) Bender of Patoka; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Mary Ann Sampson of Princeton; a niece, Debbie Grammer (Scott) of Evansville; 2 nephews, David Scott (Kelly) of Patoka and J.D Scott (Kelly) of Princeton; great aunt Eunice Holzman of Evansville; and his dog Bunny and their cats. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert Bender and Mildred (Dyson) Bender Jones; brother Joseph Kent “Joe” Bender and a sister Connie K. Sibbitt

Funeral Services will be held at
11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. William Ping. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.

 

Visitation will be from 9 until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
